Hello folks. I wanted to pop in today and give everyone a little update. You may or may not know that my husband suddenly passed in November. As you can imagine, my world was turned upside down overnight. I needed to take a break from Stampin’ Up and card making to take care of things and figure out what the new normal looks like for me.

We are approaching the 3 month anniversary of his death and I can say that the strong support system I have with family and friends has made this journey bearable. Grief is a powerful emotion – one that takes you on a wild ride that most of us are just not ready for…and in my case, I was shattered by it. That being said, I think I am ready to (and I NEED to) start getting back into my weekly routines of card making, video recording and tutorials. I know this is what he would want for me to continue doing.

One of the first challenges I faced was that my website/blog (cardsbycheryl.com) broke shortly after Phillip died. He was my technical consultant, web designer and Mr. fix-it of all things techie. So…right out of the gate I was faced with figuring out how to fix a broken website all by myself. My site was down for many weeks, and I finally reconstructed it, but it’s not as pretty as it used to be and I have a lot to learn about web design before I can get it looking the way I want. So, please bear with me through this learning curve as I begin to build my skills. I have a lot to learn!

Guys, I can’t promise that this train won’t come off the tracks from time to time, but I am going to give it a go. I need to start getting back to a normal life again and stamping and card making is what I loved most.

So…stay tuned my crafty friends. I’m on my way back!

    1. So sorry for your loss and all you’re dealing with… it is so hard. I lost my husband unexpectedly about 11 1/2 years ago. So I do understand. Good luck with your site and continuing the March through life
