I wanted to design a really special Mother’s Day card this year and here is what I came up with. What do ya’ll think? I use several stamp sets for this card, but the primary ones used were Honeybee Home and Blessings of Home. The designer series paper that I used for the background panels came from the Heart & Home set that is currently available until the end of June in the Mini Jan-Jun Spring Catalog.

I had a ton of questions on what the measurements are for this card so I created a PDF document that you can download. (see link button below) This one page PDF outlines all the measurements and cutting/scoring instructions.

Each of the images were stamped in smokey slate ink and colored with my Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. I made four of these cards, so the coloring took me quite a while, but it was so worth it.

The vase I created for the flowers on this panel uses the vintage bottle punch. Then I went in with a white gel pen and created the highlight details on the bottle. The stamp set that goes with the punch has an image that can stamp out the highlights for you, but because I modified the bottle punch (made it shorter to fit on the card) I could not use the corresponding stamp. So instead I just drew in the highlights by hand. Easy peasy!

Here is what the card looks like laid out flat. I just love the bees from the Honeybee home stamp set, don’t you!?

And here is what the other side looks like. I used the double oval punch for the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and please leave me a comment and let me know how you like this card. Happy (early) Mother’s Day to all of you out there. Hope you have a very special day and get spoiled rotten!
