Hello everyone. Well, let me start by saying that this bundle has just made it to the top of my favorites list for bundles released this year. I love everything about this set, from the fonts used in the sentiments and the adorable little mushroom stamps that also can be used to make acorns. The bundle sells for $53 and right now, if you purchase this set, you can get a full pack of coordinating 12×12 designer paper for FREE! So, for a little over 50 bucks, you get a stamp set, the hybrid embossing folder, coordinating dies and a beautiful pack of paper.

So, let me show you a few cards that I made yesterday and tell you a bit about each one.

This first card is my favorite…because, well, I kinda have a thing for squirrels. This little cutie was stamped and fussy cut using the Nuts about Squirrels stamp set that is a returning favorite and still available in the new annual catalog.

For the wood slices, I die cut them in soft suede and then used a blending brush with more soft suede ink to darken up the outer bark of the wood slice. For the center, I embossed and die cut from white card stock and then used crumb cake ink with a blending brush to make it look more like wood.

Other products that I used in this card include the deckled rectangle dies, Ringed with Love designer paper and clear polished dots (retired) that I colored brown with a soft suede stampin’ blend marker.

I got the idea for my next card from Donna Gray who is a stampin up demonstrator from Australia. She’s super fun to watch by the way and highly recommend checking out some other videos.

I thought this card would make a great “congrats on your new home” themed card so I grabbed the “Congratulations” sentiment from the Charming Sentiments bundle to use on the front. The background was done with white card stock embossed using the Fern 3D embossing folder. The cute little house came from the Ringed with Love designer paper and I just die cut it using one of the dies from the stamp set.

I used night of navy (second generation stamping) to put those cute little mushrooms on the inside. Aren’t they adorable? I just love those mushrooms and the little fern accents around them. I think it really finishes off the card nicely.

My next card is simple and elegant. I used Elegant Eucalyptus 3D embossing folder for the background, then placed a couple of the smaller wood slices in the center. The berry sprigs were die cut from white card stock and colored with stampin blend markers. I love the contrast of the wood and berries on a stark white background. The embossing gives it a really elegant finish.

Ok folks, that’s it for me today. I’m heading back to my craft desk to see what other trouble I can get into today. I hope everyone has a great week!

Cheers!
Cheryl
