Today, I’m excited to share four gorgeous handmade cards I created using the Textured Notes Bundle from Stampin’ Up!, along with a few complementary products from the suite that add that perfect touch of texture and elegance. Lets take a look at some of the cards I created.
I used this bundle along with the coordinating designer papers (Botanical Textures and Woven Textures Designer Series Paper), the new Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder and some gorgeous 1/4″ fabric ribbon to craft these stunning cards. Here’s a closer look at each one, and why they showcase the magic of these products:
1. Rustic Thank You Card
This card exudes warmth and gratitude with its earthy, woven texture. I started with a layer of crumb cake that I put through the corrugated 3D embossing folder which just gives it a really cool texture to start with. The next layer is made with the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper with a dark brown (early espresso) mat behind it to make it pop. As the focal point, I used a piece of basic white, die cut it with the 3rd smallest rectangle from the die set and stamped it in crumb cake ink using one of the leaf stamps in the set. Then, I stamped “thank you” in early espresso and glued this panel down to a dark brown mat behind this layer as well. I added a delicate white ribbon bow for some soft contrast. I think this combination creates a card that’s both chic and heartfelt, ideal for expressing gratitude in style.
2. Celebratory Happy Birthday Card – Perfect for the men in your life!
I like to think this is kind of a masculine card but honestly, I think anyone would be thrilled to receive this. I started by layering the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper in a mix of neutral tones to create a striking backdrop that draws the eye. There was no “happy birthday” sentiment to choose from this set, so I grabbed one I had on hand from the new Spring Corners stamp set (also to be released on March 7th!) This sentiment piece used the smallest rectangle die from the set and the “happy birthday” fit the size perfectly. The Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder was used to add a couple more elements of texture behind the focal panel. Instead of adding ribbon, I chose to use three small mat dots from the “Neutral Mat Dots” set of embellishments and it just adds a little more pop of color to the panel and draws the eye in to the sentiment. This card is sure to make any birthday celebrant feel special!
3. Elegant Note of Appreciation Card
I wanted to use an alternate color scheme for this card just to show the versatility of this set. This card showcases a serene, botanical vibe perfect for a thoughtful note of appreciation. I hand stamped the focal panel in pretty peacock ink using all three botanical stamps and used second generation stamping to get the lighter color to create some lovely leaf patterns for a calming background. I layered this onto a lost lagoon mat and popped it up with dimensional adhesive to give it some added dimension. That Mini Corrugated 3D embossing folder comes into play again for a plain white panel used behind the focal point. I could not get enough this embossing folder! It’s so fun to create with this one…it’s definitely a must have for your stash. The Textured Notes Stamp Set delivered the beautiful “a little note of appreciation” sentiment, stamped on a white panel and die cut using the smallest rectangle die. I added a small flag behind it cut from a scrap of lost lagoon card stock. I tied a simple linen thread bow around the panel for an organic touch, and subtle texture. It’s the perfect way to show someone you care with a touch of sophistication in soothing teal tones.
4. Chic Thank You Card
This final “thank you” card combines the best of both worlds—texture and elegance. I layered the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper in rich browns to create a bold, basket-weave effect as the base. Then, I stamped on a piece of basic white card stock using the two leaf stamps from the set and embossed it using the Mini 3D corrugated embossing folder. Wow! I love this look! The “thank you” sentiment from the set was stamped on a crisp white label, cut out with the 2nd smallest die from the bundle, and accented with a small mat cut from pecan pie card stock. A touch of linen thread behind the sentiment adds some rustic charm, making this card standout as an elegant thank you card.
