Hello everyone. The other day I needed to get my January card swaps done and so I asked my Instagram followers which set I should use, and the cactus cuties set won by a landslide. So I am here today to show you what I came up with.

The Cactus Cuties is available as a bundle with a great punch, which I always love and have to have. However, if you’re on a budget this year, these stamps are really quite simple to fussy cut, so maybe just get the stamp set without the punch if you’re looking to save a bit. The stamp set is only $17!

This first card was inspired by this card that I saw on Pinterest by “CarolsCreativeCorner” I switched it to a landscape card and changed up the background design a bit and here is what I came up with. The paper used for the background in my opinion is the star of the show. This is the Sunshine & Rainbows designer paper that is available now during Sale-A-Bration. You can get this paper for free with a $50 purchase.

Don’t forget to show a little love to the inside of your cards. In this case, I stamped a little cactus in a pot and added the “hello” sentiment from the set. Super fast and it makes such a difference!

For my next card, I used the same layout but switched up the papers and card stock colors. I finished it off with some sparkly Garden Gems. Don’t you just love that font in this set! It’s so different – a nice change from the trendy scripty fonts that are out right now.

For my last card, I took a similar approach for the background layout, but I embossed the white layer with the hammered metal embossing folder which I think turned out super cool. I removed the circle layer and positioned the cactus so that it looked like they were sitting on a counter or table. The wood grain paper came from the Heart & Home DSP. I love the colors in this one. For the inside I grabbed the sentiment from the Special Moments stamp set which is a Sale-A-Bration set that you can get for free when you purchase $100 or more from the catalog.

Don’t forget to check out the catalog for more inspiration on how to use this set. The catalog is always my first go-to place when I am looking for ideas. Stampin’ Up has some awesome card designers!
