Hello my friends! I’m so glad you stopped by because I have this gorgeous card design to show off today. This stamp set is part of a new suite in the new 2022-23 Annual catalog which is releasing to you on May 3rd. I won’t be able to link any of the new products used in this card until the catalog launches in May.

This card is unique because I used Stampin Up Vellum for my card base. FUN! I love how this turned out. This card is also a great way to show off this really pretty Tea Boutique designer series paper.

In case you didn’t know, the Scalloped Contour die set that has all of these lovely scalloped rectangles is one of my favorite die sets and thankfully this one is NOT retiring from the 2022 catalog. The paper is really the star of the show here on this card.

So making this card was really easy! Start with a vellum card base cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 – scored at 4 1/4. Then, grab two pieces of double sided designer paper cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″. You’ll need to select another pattern of DSP that you can use to die cut with the 2nd largest of the scalloped dies and then a piece of basic white that you will die cut and use for the writing space on the inside of the card. The flowers and lemon slice were stamped in Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis and Crushed curry. The greenery stamps were stamped with Garden Green.

For more details on how to make this card please watch my video which I have linked below.

Some people think vellum is tricky to work with but not for these cards! The vellum base is reinforced with layers of DSP so it really becomes a sturdy card. I found that using glue dots to adhere the paper to the vellum was the best option that showed the least amount glue through to the other side of the vellum. TIP: Place you glue dot on a white or very light part of the DSP paper. Avoid the darker areas like the reds and greens because this really makes the adhesive show through much more than if you placed the glue dot on a lighter part of the paper.

I made a video showing you how to create these lovely cards and I hope you take the time to watch. At the end, I show some ideas on how to turn these into a lovely Mother’s Day card as well.
