Guys…this is a project that I started a little while ago and just finished last night and I absolutely LOVE how this turned out. I was so worried that I was going to have to build a stand for it, but this thing stands up perfectly all on it’s own.
This would make a really wonderful Christmas gift and now that I have my designs done for each month, it will be super easy to recreate. I plan to make a few more of these to give as gifts. Now that I think of it…I will need to design a box for gifting. I guess I just found my next project!
I designed the calendar pages using all current stamp sets by Stampin’ Up (with the exception of May – the blueberry stamp set was from the prior Sale-A-Bration so you can’t get that one anymore). Each page measures 5 x 6″.
I have punched holes at the top on each page – and you should definitley take the time to make a template so that you punch the holes in exactly the same spot on each page.
I purchase some 12″ book rings to use as my binding but they turned out to be too big and bulky and I didn’t like how it looked. So I just used some bakers twin and tied a knot and trimmed off the ends. Works great!
One thing you could do as an extra step that I did not do is use hole reinforcements on each of the punched holes as a little added protection from tearing when you are flipping through the pages.
Here is a quick little video of me flipping through the calendar. It really does stand up nicely all by itself. 🙂
oh my gosh love it !
Thanks so much for sharing your instructions!!
