Today I am showcasing the Lovely in Linen Suite collection which is available now in the new Annual catalog. You can find it on page 24 and it sells for jut $57.25. This suite includes a very versatile punch called the Lasting Label punch – probably because you will want to use this one forever! I can’t ever see this one getting old. It’s the perfect size for adding all kinds of sentiments to you card fronts.

When you buy Lovely In Linen Suite Collection, you will get each of the following items. Such a great value!

Here is some inspiration for you! A couple of cards that I made using this set and now I have some extra birthday cards on hand for when I need them.

For my first card, I used the large floral stamp with Crumb Cake ink, stamped off once so that it is a bit lighter. I stamped this all over a white panel to create the background. Using Sweet Sorbet and black inks, I created the Happy Birthday sentiment and punched it out with the Lasting Label punch. That adorable dotted border around the punched sentiment is a stamp that comes in the set. Such simple added detail that really makes it stand out.

Then, I added a gorgeous pop of color with two layered strips of the Lovely Linen DSP and finished off with a double wrap of linen thread. I carried the same floral paper to the inside with a narrow strip of it glued down to a basic white panel.

For my second card, I let the designer paper be the star of the show. I started with a crumb cake panel that was embossed using the Quatrefoil embossing folder, and holy smokes…this is a good one! I adore the beautiful texture and detail that this embossing folder creates….so pretty. then, I just played around with added layers of the pretty papers. I created the sentient (same is the first card) and layered it on top of a piece of the wide Natural Finish Ribbon. I added some bling using the champagne rhinestone basic jewels.

For my third and final card, I got a bit more adventurous. I wanted to use the large floral stamp as my focal point but I didn’t want it all one color. I wanted red flowers and green stems, so I got creative and did some fussy cutting! I started with a plain white panel and stamped the large floral image on it – not quite centered – but a bit more to the top. Then I embossed it with the Quatrefoil folder and used that as my background. Next, I stamped the floral image again on a scrap piece of basic white using Sweet Sorbet ink. I fussy cut out only the flowers and used foam dimensionals to pop them up by placing them right on top of the green flowers that I stamped out first. I added a strip of designer paper across the bottom with another sentiment using the Lasting Labels punch, and of course I had to use more linen thread to finish this card off with a delicate linen bow. Love this one! What do you think? Would you try this technique? Leave me a comment below and let me know.
