Hello friends. The Nuts about Squirrels stamp set is what I used for today’s card. This set is available now in the new mini catalog that just launched on Aug 3rd. I had so much fun creating these cards! Also, it’s Sale-A-Bration time right now so for every $50 you spend you get to choose a free product from this catalog. So, it’s a perfect time to stock up on your holiday items and enjoy free products!

This set does not come with dies, but the squirrels and leaves are actually pretty fast to fussy cut. And, if you’re not into fussy cutting, just stamp it and punch it out with a circle punch like I did here below. This card uses the Bark embossing folder for the background (crumb cake card stock) and the little up and down banner I hand stamped using the leaves from the set, plus I grabbed the little acorn stamp from the Banner Year stamp set. I lined that border strip with cajun craze. The punch for the sentiment is the Every Day Label punch. The green flagged banner behind the sentiment is from the DSP paper set called Beauty of the Earth.

This next card was designed to show you that you can totally use non-traditional squirrel colors to make an adorable card. The card base is Just Jade with a calypso coral for the second layer. The DSP used is Sweet Symmetry and here’s a quick look at the card sketch that inspired this design.

For this next card, I wanted to showcase the In Good Taste DSP – which is still going strong in the annual catalog – so this paper will be around for a bit. It really is a versatile paper set and great for Masculine cards! The card base is gray granite and I also stamped the little squirrel with gray granite to match. the leaves are stamped in cajun craze, bumblebee and pumpkin pie. The accent card stock behind the DSP is early espresso.

Ok, last card to share with you is my favorite! This one uses the new paper from Sale-A-Bration called Peaceful Prints. The Peaceful Prints is really a holiday DSP, but the this is also very versatile for fall cards. I am loving all the plaids that Stampin’ Up is showcasing this year with their papers. Colors used are Sarah Sand, Garden Green. I hand colored the squirrels with my alcohol blends using Crumb Cake (Light & Dark) and the other squirrel was colored with the Ivory and Bronze Stampin’ Blends.
