By Cheryl HorvathHello folks. Today’s card showcases the What’s Cookin’ stamp set which is oh so cute! This stamp and die bundle is available now in the annual catalog for $45.75. The stamps are red rubber and they are what we call “distinktive” stamps, which is an innovative stamp style that allows you to create images with great detail and depth by simply inking and stamping once! If you haven’t experienced stamping with our distinktive stamp sets you are missing out.
In making this card, I started with a plain white card base. The first layer on the card base is a piece of Just Jade card stock that is cut to 4″ x 5.15″ and embossed using the Tasteful Textile embossing folder. I chose the Sweet Symmetry DSP as my coordinating pattern paper. The skinny piece that runs vertically is cut to 7/8″ x 5 3/8″ and it is layered on a white piece cut to 1″ x 5.5″.
The wider piece of the green pattern paper is also layered on a piece of basic white and those dimensions are the following: the white piece is 2 1/8″ x 4 1/8″ and the green piece is cut to 2″ x 4″.
The utensils are cut out with calypso coral – no stamping required! The cutting board is cut out with crumb cake, and you might notice that I used my crumb cake Stampin’ Write marker to just give it a little more detail. The mixing bowl is stamped in crumb cake and then die cut.
For the sentiment, I used just a basic white piece of card stock cut to 1″ tall by 3″ wide and then I used the Lovely Labels punch to cut the decorative edge on each end., The sentiment is stamped in Just Jade and then I took that same crumb cake stampin’ write marker and just hand drew a little border around the edge of the strip. It just gives it a little artsy-handmade feel to this card, which I like.
Lastly, I embellished with a couple of square adhesive gems. These are so fun and I love that they are square instead of the standard round gem.
