This weekend I played around with a new stamp called Citrus Trimmings from Studio Katia that I just L.O.V.E ! This style of stamp is not typical for me – I tend to lean more toward florals but for some reason I just knew I had to have this one.
I recently discovered stamps designed by Catherine Scanlon (produced by Art Gone Wild) and I was SO hooked! I purchased several of her stamps but this one called 15 Orbs was the first one I saw and it caught my eye immediately. It was screaming water color me, so I inked it up on some 140 lb watercolor cardstock and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. One of the things I loved about this stamp is the center orb was left blank. I pondered for a few days on what to put inside that empty orb, and even asked for help from my IG peeps. Someone suggested the word bloom and it was perfect! I absolutely love how this turned out and instead of making it into a card, I framed it. It’s sitting on the buffet in my front room at the moment but this baby is making its way to my Arizona house on our next visit.
Spent a few more hours after dinner last night with hubby working on Christmas cards. I love that he likes to contribute! 🙂 This one came out nice and is one of my favorites but I still have to mount it onto a card base. I’m not a fan of mass producing cards that are all the same, so you can understand why it is taking us so long to come up with 50 cards. Thirty three down, 17 to go!
